We were told about this wineries surrounding area- a bridge and picnic areas along the river with bird watching and a resident platypus family. The first thing we did was walk down to the river and we were extremely lucky to see a platypus. Then entered the winery and were greeted by Cathy who was an excellent host and made the wine experience very interesting. Make sure you go early it is very popular and book. The red wines and fortified were exceptional.
We had such a lovely time! Great for families, accommodating about us tasting their lovely wines so that our kids could play outside in the cubby house and toys. A perfect wine tasting experience with thoughtful staff who paid attention to our tastes in wine.
Had an exceptional tasting session today with Jean at Pfeiffer Wines. Plenty of knowledge and information about their wines and the place is absolutely magnificent for a picnic. Go there and enjoy the experience.
We had a great hour or so wine tasting and looking around the grounds. Staff were lovely, knowledgeable and we of course left with 2 bottles of wine and 3 bottles of sticky sweet fortifieds. The grounds are amazing – especially the Sunday Creek bridge that holds functions and the river is full of turtles and carp.
