This Victorian Labour Day long weekend head to Rutherglen to relax, recharge and explore our beautiful 160-year-old wine region.
Tastes of Rutherglen is a two-day festival of wine, food and fun. You will experience our finest cuisine perfectly paired with our finest wines. There are masterclasses, special events and so much great live music. There is even a shuttle bus service, which means everyone can relax and enjoy the weekend.

Our shaded and spacious grounds at Pfeiffer Wines provides you with the perfect setting to relax all weekend. We have some delicious food offerings, Seated Wine Tastings, our much loved Dave Daly performing all weekend and turtle feeding from our Sunday Creek Bridge.

Wine Tastings and Sales
We have a range of different wine tastings over the Tastes of Rutherglen Weekend. Taste of Rutherglen participants can enjoy a complimentary tasting of 5 different wines at our outdoor, stand up Tastings and Sales Bar.
If you would prefer to spoil yourself, participate in one of our Seated Wine Tasting Experiences in our historic cellardoor with your family and friends.
We have three different Seated Wine Tasting Experience options:
Seated Tasting Experience Option 1 – Up To Ten for $10pp
This is a one hour guided wine tasting experience where you get to curate your very own tasting list (or ask us to help you) of up to ten wines from our selection of 30+ award-winning sparkling, white, red and fortified wines. Duration 1 hour Book Here
Your $10 tasting fee is fully refundable if you purchase Pfeiffer wines to the value of $80 or more (per couple), at our cellar door on the day of your tasting. This tasting is complimentary for existing and new Pfeiffer Wine Club Members and up to 3 friends.

Seated Tasting Experience Option 2 – The Ultimate Seated Tasting Experience $20pp
This is an intimate, two-hour guided wine tasting experience where you have the opportunity to taste and savour up to 30 wines from our diverse and award-winning portfolio. Duration 2 hours Book Here

Seated Tasting Experience Option 3 – The World Class Fortified Tasting Experience $30pp
The World Class Fortified Tasting Experience allows you to try 15 Pfeiffer fortified wines that have been carefully handcrafted from aged stocks using time-honoured traditions and skills that have been passed down through the generations.
The tasting ranges from the bone dry Seriously Fine Apera to the intense, rich and sensuous Rare Rutherglen Muscat. Collectively these 15 wines have won 26 trophies, 28 Top Gold medals and 112 Gold medals between them. Now that is a World Class tasting!! Duration 1.5 hours Book Here

Are you looking for something to do on the Saturday evening of Tastes of Rutherglen? Join us at Pfeiffer Wines between 5pm and 8pm on Saturday 7th March 2026 for our Bridge Bar & Beats.
Entry is FREE and Pickled Sisters will be on-site with a pop-up Dumpling Bar. Singer and Songwriter, Dave Daly will be performing LIVE between 5pm – 8pm. Oh and did we mention, ‘pfabulous’ Pfeiffer wine, wine cocktails and our super refreshing and much loved Pfeiffer Seriously Pink slushies?
Bring your own chair or picnic rug and find your own little piece of paradise within our beautiful grounds, either on the shaded grass area or under our century old pines, enjoy some wine and beats and watch the sun go down in our very special part of the world.

The Tastes of Rutherglen Saturday EVENING Shuttle Bus will be stopping at Pfeiffer Wines at 5pm and 5.15pm. The Tastes of Rutherglen Saturday EVENING shuttle bus will pick up from Pfeiffer Wines at 8pm. The cost of the return bus ticket is $10pp and it can be booked via the Explore Rutherglen website.
