Rutherglen Loops (previously known as the Rutherglen Wine Walk Cycle Trail) is an incredible project that has created both new paths and upgrades to existing walking and cycling pathways throughout Rutherglen.
The 48 kilometres of linked trails showcase our natural beauty and our amazing food and wine culture. There are range of smaller loops closer to Rutherglen and a series of longer loops that utilise the Rail Trail to Wahgunyah with the opportunity to visit our cellardoors and wineries along the journey.
The trail along Distillery Road connecting Cofield’s, Dinah Wines and Pfeiffer Wines was sealed yesterday and the ~1.6km of sealed trail will provide an off-road trail option for cyclists and pedestrians who want to either ride or walk along the existing Eastern and Western trails between Wahgunyah and Lake Moodemere.
So pump up those tyres, polish off those walking shoes and get yourself to our amazing little piece of the world. You won’t regret it.
